For the summer we'll be having remote nets at various locations around the northern Colorado on the 3rd Thursday of the month.
The next remote net will be on July 19th. The location will be North Lake Park in Loveland near the intersection of Taft avenue and 29th street. To get to the park, go just south of 29th, and turn east at the fire station. Here is a google map to the location.
A "remote net" is where we run a net from a public location. We encourage less experienced operators to take the mike and run the net with the safety net of plenty of very experienced net control operators to demonstrate and help out. If you're not quite ready to be the NCS, it's still a good chance to see it done in person and follow along. These nets are simple to run, and this is a great opportunity to try your hand, and build your skill in this critical area.
